D14- Oil Tanker Training Programme

Note:The course was conducted in accordance with the requirements of regulation V / 1-2, section 2.2. and Section A-V / 1, sections 22 to 34 of the STCW Code and is based on IMO Model 1.06.

The course provides advanced level training for commanders, machine managers, first deck officers, other engineers and all other persons on oil tankers who are directly in charge of boarding or disembarking or are responsible for freight handling and handling.

After completing the course, all participants should understand the operation of the oil tanker and how to be in anticipation of preventing possible danger.

Course content:

Introduction
Basic Properties and hazards of Liquid Hydrocarbons
Prevention of pollution
Tanker and equipment designs
Operation on tankers
Emergency procedures
Inert Gas System (IGS)
Crude Oil Washing (COW)

Course requirements:

Personal identity card or passport
1 personal picture
3 months of certified navigation on oil tankers
Certificate for Basic training for tankers (or basic training for oil and chemical tankers
Reneview stamps
Course payment
Exam payment

Note: After successfully completing the course and exam in Port Authority, candidates will receive a certificate of qualification for work on oil tankers issued by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia.
